Hello! Hong Kong – Part 7
Installation by Kith Tsang

Kith Tsang continues his Hello! Hong Kong series that explores the history of Hong Kong. Tsang lived in the old area of Sheung Wan when he was a child,  through the use of appropriation, collage and reconstruction of its civic material culture such as paper crafting, lanterns, bamboo and galvanised scaffoldings, this exhibition produces different kinds of representations. It uses civic history as the ground for an alternative identity of Hong Kong people and records the anxious feelings of the people in the last moment before Handover.

The First Sermon by Chan Kai Yin is in response to this exhibition.
